Internazionale Hotel history begins in the Eighties when Giancarlo Fiorini, the enterprising owner of “da Malvina” a restaurant on Portonovo beach, after a lucky day fishing, learnt of an abandoned real estate sale. He immediately decided to buy it and he worked hardly for 2 years to transform the old international hostel in the today’s hotel.

Giancarlo’s parents, Malvina and Italiano, and his wife, Adelaide, were his first employees. Then his sons Fabio and Flavio, after their studies, have begun to work in the hotel.

Giancarlo is a very demanding person at first with himself, when he speaks to the chefs he always says: “ Before everything our dishes have to satisfy myself, if you have successful with me almost certainly our clients love them”.

As expert fishman, Giancarlo has always chosen the best raw materials and he has taught it to his sons.

Only a part of the old hostel has not been brought to light yet : a stopped arch incorporated into the wall toward the mount probably it was a passage for a cave dug in the rock. There is a great curiosity to discover what that wall hides, but this desire to know is set aside to preserve a secret that certainly brings good luck to the Fiorini family.
